Sacrament of First Communion

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. For both parents and child there is a retreat. Parents are the key in their child(s) Sacrament preparation and Faith Formation. We encourage and support families to attend Mass on a regular basis. Everything we do as Catholics flows from the Mass and back to it! The Sacrament of First Communion is celebrated in Grade 3, usually the first weekend in May.
